We understand that, as an agent, you may be nominated to undertake a number of various tasks. We have catered for this with the Nomination Type dropdown menu which will allow users to select exactly what type of nomination is being undertaken during a specific port call.
You also have the ability to add multiple nominations to a specific appointment. There may be a nomination whereby your office has Full Agency, but may also be Husbandry Agents too. Having multiple Nominations within a specific appointment is commonplace nowadays, and being able to keep track of these under the one appointment is paramount to streamlined business function.
System Administrator Users can enable/disable the nomination types that they do not need via using the Settings > Nominations type page as seen below:
Different nominations will often equate to different agency fees being charged as the undertakings will differ. You can set the Agency Fees for the different nomination types that you have agreed with your Principals under the Agency Fees tab of their company record. For users that are linked to our Port Cost Watch System, setting an Agency Fee for a certain nomination type and Principal will automatically apply the costs for that specific nomination eg. if you create a Full Agency nomination for a specific Principal within an appointment, and then create a PDA for this, this will subsequently populate the agency fee with your predefined Full Agency agency fee, however, if you create a PDA for a nomination whereby you are the Husbandry Agents or Owners Protective Agents, the Agency Fee assigned to this specific Nomination Type will populate within the PDA.
